author, speaker, and mentor.

Kristen has a passion for young adults and to reach them with God’s love through words–through young adult fiction, her outreach blog, and speaking engagements.

Her publishing journey began in 2010 with the first book in her young adult suspense trilogy Wings of the Dawn. She completed the trilogy in the fall of 2014 and currently has several new projects in the works. Her non-fiction, devotional blog Think True Thoughts is designed to encourage young adults to think truthfully and live daringly. She contributes articles to magazines and regularly writes for the e-zine Girlz 4 Christ.

Kristen also has the heart of an educator and mentor. She teaches middle school Language Arts for Alpha Omega Academy and serves as a small group leader at her church’s youth group. She is a motivational speaker for graduations and a workshop presenter at writer’s conferences. In 2015, she joined Word Weavers International and currently serves as the president of an online chapter. In partnership with Bethany Jett, she launched the Build Your Brand Program to provide writers with resources for building their online platforms and reaching their audiences.

Putting her pen aside, she enjoys participating in short-term mission trips, ranging from Nicaragua to New York; she also looks forward to a summer adventure with her twin brother, her favorite so far being an 11-mile hike to Havasu Falls, Grand Canyon. She craves coffee, sunshine, and good books-and enjoys most when she can share them with friends.
