Kristen receives the Selah Award for Speculative Fiction.

Kristen has a passion for young adults and to reach them with God’s love through words–through young adult fiction, blogging, everyday teaching, and special speaking engagements.

Her publishing journey began in 2010 with the first book in her young adult suspense trilogy Wings of the Dawn. She completed the trilogy in the fall of 2014, and in 2016, contracted with Write Integrity Press for a new trilogy, The Rogues. The first book, The Revisionary, released in June 2017 and received the Selah Award for Speculative Fiction and the Grace Award for Speculative Fiction. In addition to writing fiction, she enjoys guest blogging and regularly writes for DailyPS.com.

Kristen also has the heart of an educator and mentor. She teaches middle school Language Arts for Alpha Omega Academy and served in youth ministry for many years. She is a motivational speaker for graduations and a workshop presenter at writer’s conferences. In 2015, she joined Word Weavers International and served as the president of an online chapter for several years.

Putting her pen aside, she and her husband James enjoy traveling and outdoor adventures, including running, hiking, surfing, and more.
